Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon joins the MCU for ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

Kevin Bacon will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as…Kevin Bacon.

The new trailer for “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” features the “Footloose” star alongside franchise stars Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff (Mantis), in a move sure to make the “six degrees of Kevin Bacon” game easier.

James Gunn, director of “Guardians”, was named co-chairman, chief executive officer, and chief operating officer of DC Studios on Tuesday. He also shared the clip via Twitter.

The preview shows the galactic gang trying to figure out how to lift Starlord’s (Chris Pratt) spirits in advance of Christmastime. Their team leader, Gamora (Zoe Saldana), is feeling down about Gamora’s disappearance after “Avengers: Endgame”.

Mantis and Drax soon have the idea of taking the Guardians back home for the holiday. They hope that a trip back to Earth will prove to be just what the doctor ordered.

They decide Bacon would be the ideal “someone special” to help their friend, and they show up at the front door of the legendary actor to take him along.

The clip briefly features Nebula (Karen Gillan), Kraglin, played by Sean Gunn, Sean Gunn’s brother), Rocket Raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper, Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), and other characters.

Disney+ will be streaming “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special”, which is available on November 25,
